They left me with the Treat Lady

Coming Soon in print and ebook

My humans went away and now I’m living with the Treat Lady. Every day, I sit by the window, watching and waiting for them to come back.

Even though I miss my humans, I like the Treat Lady! She gives me lots of Profutto. Fendi said if I look at her with puppy-dog eyes, she will give me bacon, too—and Fendi is right!

The Treat Lady takes me for lots of walks, and we see fluffy little playthings. She calls them rabbits. They are everywhere!

Now I can climb the wooden tower humans call “stairs,” and I am teaching the Treat Lady how to play tug of war with my squeaky toy.

I know my humans will come back soon. Until they do, I will eat Profutto and bacon—and chase rabbits!

Evil Lurks in the Shadows

Dead of July (Small)

One Sunday afternoon Sheila came across a badly beaten young girl in a local park near her home. The girl’s name was Anna. Anna was being pursued by and angry drunken man with a murderous look in his eyes. Sheila took Anna’s hand and they ran for their lives.

A couple of days later their paths crossed again and Anna told Sheila about the abuse she had suffered at the hands of the man who chased her in the park. His name was Viktor and he was a powerful evil man. Sheila, appalled by Anna’s story, helped her get out-of-town, but paid the price for interfering.

Viktor focused his attention on Sheila. He wanted revenge in the worst possible way. How could she escape from someone who blended with the shadows? How could she explain being tormented by someone she couldn’t see? Who could she turn to? Who could she trust?

Sheila’s first adventure is set in Dortmund, Germany and is a terrifying, yet heartwarming story. It has so many twists and turns that it ties you in knots. Does Anna truly escape? Can Sheila outwit an evil malevolent Russian? There’s only one way to find out. Turn to the first chapter and start reading.

The release of my novel is so close now. Still hoping to get it out before Christmas, but you can’t rush something this good. Loving how it turned out.

Next stop New York

My friend Tanya

So my friends came through for me and gave my book a true Colorado send off. It was a wonderful evening thanks to the ‘host with the most’, yes I am talking about you Roberta.

I was able to relax and sign copies of my book.

You all bought copies (some of you bought several) of my book and asked for personal messages to be written in the front with my special book signing pen (thanks Joanna).

I am truly grateful to have so many good friends and when I make it to the big time, I will certainly keep my promise and take my group of faithful followers to New York with me. Let the good times roll!

Signing my first book for Roberta

Enjoying talking about my book

And a good time was had by all

Girl on the Beach – almost in print!

My first book, almost ready to go to print!!!!!

I was so incredibly excited when I got to read the first fully edited version of this story. It read much better than the original.  A good editor knows how to break down the British/US language barriers, and there are some. (Thanks Jenni Gasparrini)

When I saw the first sketch of the cover Mike Brooker prepared, I was thrilled. When I saw the finished product, I was totally blown away! Isn’t it fabulous?

Now with the help of Jenni Gasparrini, Mike Brooker, and the ever helpful, ever patient Nick Taylor from Darkfire Productions my book will soon be available to buy as a paperback.

At the end of March, I am flying to Portland, Oregon to meet an old friend and read a couple of chapters of my book to her book club. They are having a ‘Girl(s) on the Beach’ weekend, which will be a great book launch for me.  Thanks Patty, for giving me the opportunity to share this story with you and your friends.

I am having so much fun with this it should be illegal!

Keep checking in! Share my excitement, it’s catching.

Exhausted Author

Now on Amazon

Phew, what a weekend!

I got up really early yesterday to make a few changes to this story before it could be sold on Amazon. Just a few minor things that I had missed in the first round of editing.

I am eternally grateful to Nick Taylor from ‘Darkfire Productions’ (my publishers), Jenni Gasparrini (my editor) and Mike Brooker (who produced this fantastic cover). Without their help and guidance I would never have got this book published.

Also my ever patient husband who explained things I couldn’t understand, solved my Mac v. Microsoft problems, and loaded this book onto Amazon for me tonight!

WOW, did that sound like an Oscar speech or what.

This book is currently available from

Tomorrow it should be available on Amazon. Hopefully by the end of the month I will have a paperback available on both sites too.

I have learned that writing the book is the easiest part of being an author. The process of publishing this book and then marketing the book takes more time and energy, especially when its your first time. I am just so happy to have actually got this far.

It would be fantastic if my books became popular, and I made money, but if I don’t, well it was fun trying!
